Ryan – Laurence Paschal (Hal), Artane and Carlow (and latterly Nazareth House, Marino) – (peacefully) at Beaumont Hospital, beloved husband of Mary and loving father of Joseph, John, Juliet, Jean and William; fondly missed by his grandchildren Bill, Cormac, Robert, Patrick, Sebastian, Tristram, Jack, Emily, Louis, Isabel, Sorrel, Eric, Stan (and remembering the late Bean), daughters in-law, sons-in-law, his brother Patrick, sisters Kathleen, Breda (and remembering the late Una and Maura), Marguerite, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, cousins and his extended family, friends and neighbours.


Reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand (Monday 1st April) with family in attendance from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock – all welcome. Funeral Mass at St. John Vianney Church, Ardlea Road (Tuesday 2nd April) at 10 o’clock followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow Town. Donations, if desired, to Nazareth House.

Mary (Máire) Farrell (née Nelson) of 4 Avondale Drive, Carlow, passed away unexpectedly on March 26th, 2019, at her home. Beloved wife of Pat and much loved mother of Sharon, Thomas, Patrick, Lorraine, Ann Marie and the late John and Brendan and cherished sister of Seamus, Ollie and the late Peter and Michael. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Barrack St., from 2pm on Tuesday with prayers at 8pm. Removal from there on Wednesday at 10.30am to St. Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.
