Driver arrested on suspicion of driving under influence of intoxicant and cannabis seized

An anti-crime checkpoint was conducted in Carlow on Wednesday night by the Kilkenny/Carlow Divisional Burglary Unit.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant and cannabis was seized. The driver was charged with a number of offences.

Gardaí said: "Never drive while under influence of an intoxicant."
