Five local Men's Shed's across Carlow set to benefit from grants of up to €3,000

Grants of up to €3,000 have been allocated to five Men’s Sheds across Carlow. The grants are being allocated under a new €1 million fund to support Men’s Sheds across the country.
The local Men's Shed's set to benefit from these grants are as follows:
- Carlow Travellers Mens Sheds
- Borris
- Tullow
- Carlow Men's Shed
- Leighlin Parish
Local Fianna Fáil TD Jennifer Murnane O'Connor, said: “I am delighted to welcome the allocation of grant funding to help Men’s Sheds in Carlow with their running costs such as their heating, electricity utility and insurance bills. Men’s Sheds provide such a hugely important service in our communities by tackling isolation and providing a welcoming environment where men of all ages can come together to socialise, share skills and work on meaningful projects.
“These services become even more important over the winter period and I know that this funding will help Men’s Sheds across our communities to cope with paying bills over the coming few months.”
