A fundraiser has been set up for an elderly Carlow couple after claims that their home-heating oil was stolen over the weekend on Sleaty Road, Graiguecullen.
A post on Facebook by the couple's son, said: "Well words fail me, went out the back earlier and noticed my dad’s oil tank lid off, turns out someone made their way in during the night and ciphered his oil from his tank.
"My dad is 88 and my mam is 78."
Anthony Heaney of the Facebook page It's All About Carlow has set up the fundraiser and people can make donations by clicking here.
The fundraising target is €600.
