The Carlow Minor football panel for the 2026 season has been named as preparations ramp up for the opening games of the new campaign.
Manager Paul McElligott has confirmed his squad ahead of a busy spring, which begins with Development League games away to Kilkenny on February 14 and at home to Limerick on February 21.
The Leinster Minor Football Championship then gets underway on March 24, giving the young Carlow squad just over a month to fine-tune their preparations.
The panel draws players from clubs right across the county, with strong representation from Éire Óg, Rathvilly and Palatine, as well as Bagenalstown Gaels, Mt Leinster Rangers, Michael Davitts, Tinryland and more.
Éire Óg lead the way with seven players named, including Brian Louw, Cathal Kennedy, Cormac Murphy, Darragh Casey, Ronan Dooley, Jamie Doody and Senan Sheehan. Rathvilly also feature heavily, with Callum Boland, Craig Burgess, Enda Byrne, Kyle Byrne and Rian Nolan all included.

Palatine are represented by Ben Nolan, Danny McMahon, Jack McDonald and Nathan Walsh, while Kildavin/Clonegal have Brandon Nolan, Eoghan Treacy and Michael Redmond on the panel.
Bagenalstown Gaels duo Alex Doyle and Jack Monahan are also included, along with Cian Howard of Asca and Tadhg Hennessy of Grange.
There is also a strong presence from Mt Leinster Rangers through Adam Joyce and Darragh Coleman, while Michael Davitts have Conor Stanley and Finnán Nolan involved. Tinryland’s Oisín Byrne and Tadhg Deane are named, along with St Patrick’s Tawana Mudawapi.
The backroom team for 2026 sees Paul McElligott in charge as manager, with Robert Sansom, Paul Fahy, Tomás Reilly and James Clarke part of the coaching and support set-up. Richie Hitchcock is S&C coach, while Leah Mullins is team physio.
