Gardaí appealing for witnesses after young man dies following car accident

Gardaí in Thomastown, Kilkenny are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle fatal collision on Saturday October 5.

At approximately 1am Gardaí and emergency services attended at the scene of a collision involving a car at Knockwilliam, Ballyhale, Kilkenny.

The driver, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger in her 30s was removed to University Hospital Waterford with serious injuries.

From initial enquiries at the scene it’s understood the car left the road and struck a wall. No other persons were involved.
