It is getting very tight follow the 11th count here in the Carlow/Kilkenny General Election 2024.

Especially between two Carlow based candidates, Catherine Callaghan of Fine Gael and Jennifer Murnane O'Connor.

First time General Election candidate Fine Gael's Catherine Callaghan has had a very strong showing as she closes up to fellow Carlow-based candidate Fianna Fáil's Jennifer Murnane O'Connor.

Following the 11th count from Carlow/Kilkenny, that saw Fianna Fáil's John McGuiness elected (video HERE).

Catherine Callaghan is currently at 8,562 votes after the count and is jus 239 votes away from Carlow favourite Jennifer Murnane O'Connor.

Things will get very interesting in the 12th count when we see where Patricia Stephenson's votes go. All updates as they happen will be on CarlowLive's Live BLOG HERE.
