Callaghan celebrating winning her seat

The 14th count has been completed here in Kilkenny for the Carlow/Kilkenny Constituency for the General Election 2024.

David Fitzgerald's votes were redistributed in the 14th count and has elected party mate Catherine Callaghan.

Catherine Callaghan's surplus of 2,460 votes will be redistributed amongst the remaining in the 14th count.

Peter 'Chap' Cleere needs just 87 votes to hit the quota.

Its the first outing for Carlow's Catherine Callaghan in General Election and after such bitter disappointment of missing out on the Local Elections in Carlow earlier in the year she now has secured her seat.
