Carlow Gardaí seek information after eight cars damaged in weekend thefts

Gardaí are investigating a number of incidents in a Carlow town where car windows were smashed in a number of locations.

According to Tullow Gardaí, five of the incidents occurred overnight between Saturday January 7 and Sunday January 8, while a further three cars were damaged during the day.

Two cars parked in Brigidine Convent were targeted overnight, with small change taken from both, while a further two cars were damaged at Hawkins Lane.

A fifth car was damaged while parked on Mill Street.

Another car was broken into while parked in Supervalu carpark on January 7 between 6pm and 7pm, while a car parked in AIB carpark was also broken into between 3.30pm and 6.30pm on the same day.

A JBL wireless speaker was also taken from a car - the rear driver side window of which was smashed - on Old Chapel Lane between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information or footage (CCTV or dash-cam) to contact Tullow Garda Station.
