Driver who tried to turn from Carlow garda checkpoint now facing no insurance charge

A driver who attempted to turn around his vehicle while approaching a garda checkpoint in Carlow is now facing a no insurance charge and another offence under the Road Traffic Act. 

Members from Unit A Carlow were conducting a checkpoint at Ballinacarrig, Carlow recently when the vehicle decided to turn from the checkpoint.

The driver was found to have no Insurance and no NCT.

The motorist will now face a court appearance.

The insurance disc displayed on the vehicle appears to have expired at the end of June, 2022.

The NCT disc expired at the end of April, 2021, according to a photograph issued by gardaí.
