Observations and submissions in relation to the renovation of a popular Carlow building can be made for the next month.
Carlow County Council's plan to develop the former Phoenix Centre in Rathvilly into a community hub called the School House Community and Enterprise Centre are available for inspection both online and during office hours by appointment.
Interested parties can also purchase a copy of same at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy.
The development will comprise of the renovation of the existing original structure, demolition of the newer add-on extensions, the creation of multiple office and community spaces as per drawings and associated services including signage, landscaping, and boundary treatment, and a paved forecourt area with designated set down for vehicles.
Any observations can be made in writing (clearly marked ‘School House Community & Enterprise Centre, Rathvilly, Part 8 Process’) to the Planning Department at Carlow County Council, County Buildings, Athy Road in Carlow before 5pm on April 17, 2023.
An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Preliminary Examination, and an Appropriate Assessment Screening for the proposed development have been completed and are also available for inspection.
