A festival celebrating the cultural links between Ireland and other Celtic nations is taking place in Carlow this month.
The International Pan Celtic Festival is coming to Carlow from 11th - 16th April for a celebration of links between Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Brittany, Cornwall and the Isle of Man.
The family-friendly event will feature musicians and choirs, singers and dancers, bands and storytellers from the participating Celtic nations coming together to share their culture and the languages of Alba, Cymru, Kernow, Mannin, Breizh and Éire.
Activities during the week include seisiúns, céilí dancing, native language workshops, storytelling, competitions and much more.
The festival was first held in Killarney in 1971 and is now governed by an International Council with six national committees.
