CARLOW WEATHER: Brollys up! Rain expected today (May 4) with possible spot flooding

Some sunshine can be expected today (May 4) with rain in the southwest moving up over Munster by noon. 

That's according to Met Éireann, which also forecasts possible spot flooding during heavy rainfall over the southern half of the country.

Highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees can be expected with moderate to fresh easterly winds

Tonight, rain will continue with mist and fog in some areas. 

Lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees Celsius, in just light southerly or variable breezes.
