Having led all the way in normal time, it looked like Carlow had lost their chance when Offaly forced extra-time with a late rally, despite being down to 14 men for much of that game.
With Offaly back to full complement, it looked like they had the momentum but last gasp points from Diarmuid Byrne and Chris Nolan snatched a famous victory at the end of extra time.
Follow Me Up To Carlow boomed out from the stadium speakers as Carlow supporters celebrated wildly.
