The Local Enterprise Office in Carlow County Council are going on the road around the county to host a series of business clinics for the remainder of 2023 to support local business owners.
Small business owners in rural communities now have access to support and guidance through free business advice clinics offered by Local Enterprise Offices.
The clinics will be held in Tullow, Bagenalstown, Borris and will be led by a team of experienced business advisors.
According to Kieran Comerford , Head of Economic Development & Enterprise these clinics are designed to help small business owners and people with business ideas in rural areas overcome challenges and succeed.
"Small businesses are the lifeblood of rural communities, and we want to do everything we can to help them succeed," said Kieran. "Our business advisors will work with each business owner to identify their specific needs and provide them with practical advice and guidance," he said.
The Local Enterprise Office in Carlow County Council provides a range of supports for small businesses, including advice and mentoring on topics such as business planning, financial management, and marketing; training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge; access to funding and grants; networking opportunities and events; and export supports to help businesses expand their markets. These services are designed to help businesses start, grow, and succeed, and play a crucial role in supporting small businesses in Ireland.
The clinics will cover a wide range of topics, from financial management to marketing strategy. Each session will be tailored to the specific needs of the business owner and will provide a safe and confidential space for them to discuss their challenges and ask questions.
Welcoming the rural clinics , Cllr Brian O’Donoghue, Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council said: “As a County Council we must support our businesses, especially small businesses, because they are the backbone of our economy. They provide jobs, boost economic growth, and contribute to the overall prosperity of our communities. By supporting our businesses, we are investing in our future and creating a more prosperous and sustainable society for all".
