Carlow primary school class sizes are getting smaller.

Deputy Cathal Crowe asked the Minister for Education, Norma Foley, to provide the average class size for primary schools in each county in the past four years.

In 2019, the average class size in Carlow was 25. This figure declined in the following years and in 2022 the average class size in Carlow totaled 23.

This seems to reflect a country wide decline as almost all counties have reported smaller class sizes in recent years.
