The Eco Showboat will be at Carlow Town Park from Thursday 20th to Saturday 22nd July.

The Mayfly is a small solar powered converted yacht and will be moored at Carlow Town Park.

Artists Anne Cleary and Denis Connolly are navigating Ireland’s inland waterways meeting local artists, scientists and communities to spark climate action. They are undertaking a zero carbon journey to the east - along the Shannon, Grand Canal and Barrow.

Anne and Denis will host a jam-packed programme for all ages with talks, food, music and workshops at VISUAL on Saturday 22 July from 2.30pm – 5pm.

The programme features artists talks by Anne Cleary, Denis Connolly and Saidhbhín Gibson, music and food by Indian-Irish musical duo Anna Tanvir and Maninder Singh, and two workshops.

In honour of Carlow’s long association with sugar production, Maninder - a chef as well as a musician will showcase some sweet culinary dishes from both Indian and European traditions.
