Revealed: 484 New Electric Vehicles were registered in Carlow since 2022
Deputy John Brady asked the Minister for Transport to detail the number of new electric vehicles registered in the State by county.
Minister for Transport, Eamon Ryan, announced that covering the period from 1st January 2022 - June 30th 2023, a total of 484 Electric Vehicles* were registered in County Carlow. That is almost 12% of all new vehicles registered in the county.
*Electric vehicles includes both Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEVs).
A combined of 52,022 Electric Vehicles were registered throughout the Republic of Ireland in the same period.
