Construction of new "Active Travel" footpath from Oakley Heights to Court View in Tullow, County Carlow has commenced.

The contractors are currently carrying out site clearance works over the length of the path, including a couple of larger excavations in the area between Castle Lane and Court View.

The actual construction of the footpath will commence at the Oakley Wood end and it is expected that the construction will take 12-15 weeks, weather dependent.

The main contractor is Priority Construction, Civil Engineering Contractors from Clontarf.
