WHAT'S ON: Learn more about the history of Hacketstown on FREE walking tour
Carlow Historical and Archaeological Society will host a walking tour of Hacketstown, Co. Carlow as part of the National Heritage Week celebrations.
Hacketstown village can be traced back to the early thirteenth century. Hacketstown also played an important role in the 1798 Rising being the scene of two battles during the rebellion.
To learn more about the history of Hacketstown, all are welcome to join the free walking tour on Tuesday 15th August 2023 from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Meet at 1798 Monument, Hacketstown, Co. Carlow.
