Gardaí appeal to public for information on collision between Carlow and Laois
The busy N80 national route through Laois had to be closed to traffic following a car crash in Stradbally this Sunday.
The accident happened on the main road through the town at the turn off onto the R427 road toward Vicarstown at around 3.40 pm.
Gardaí confirmed that the accident involved a car and jeep and resulted in one of the vehicles overturning on the road. While the occupants of the vehicles were hospitalised, their injuries were not believed to be serious.
The collision did cause significant disruption to local traffic and people travelling through the town which is the main road between Laois and Carlow.
Anybody who may have witnessed the collision or has dash cam footage is asked to contact Gardaí in Portlaoise on 057 8674122.
