Carlow Women's Aid is located on Old Dublin Road in Carlow Town.
They are a voluntary organisation which provide a free phone helpline, one to one support, a drop in service, support service, court accompaniment, counselling and outreach for women who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence in the home or in close personal relationships.
Last week Carlow Credit Union CEO Ultan Ryan presented the organisation with a cheque for €1,500 which will go towards the support of these women.
