Carlow County Council received almost forty water pollution complaints so far this year

Carlow County Council received a total of thirty-seven water pollution complaints so far this year.

Out of these, twenty-eight complaints have been resolved while nine are still active.

The council have issues zero fines this year under the Water Pollution Act.

As of July 2023, Uisce Eireann has assumed full accountability for the delivery of water services in County Carlow, including the direction and management of water services staff.
