Solar farm in Tullow given green light by local authorities to increase output
The Coppenagh Solar Park development in Tullow, County Carlow have been given the green light by local authorities to facilitate an increased output from ten megawatt to twenty megawatt.
The solar farm requested planning permission to modify a previously granted planning permission to facilitate an increased output.
The increased output is being facilitated arising from improved technological advancements and availability of grid capacity.
No other alterations to design, site layout, etc are proposed.
The application has been approved subject to conditions set out by Carlow County Council.
The application was submitted by Farm Power Generation Limited.
