Netwatch Dr Cullen Park in Carlow
At the October meeting of Carlow County Council earlier this week, Cllr John Pender raised his concerns about road safety at Netwatch Cullen Park.
Pender pointed out that during match times 'it is dangerous' and a pedestrian crossing is needed to ensure the safety of those attending sports events at this popular venue in Carlow Town.
Netwatch Cullen Park, also known as Dr Cullen Park, officially opened in August 1936 and has since hosted a long list of GAA events. Most recently the Hurling For Cancer 2023 charity match and the Carlow County Senior Club Football 2023 Championship Final where Éire Óg were crowned winners.
