Status Orange wind warning in place for Carlow due to storm
Met Éireann have issued a status Orange wind warning for Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wicklow, Cavan, Monaghan, Clare, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Galway, and Roscommon.
It was unusually stormy on Sunday night and Monday it is set to continue due to Storm Debi with severe and damaging gusts.
Possible impacts include damage to exposed and vulnerable structures, dangerous travelling conditions, disruption to services, damage to power lines and fallen trees/branches.
The weather warning is valid until 10am Monday 13th November.
As a precautionary measure the following places will stay closed Monday: Carlow Town Park, Oak Park, Ducketts Grove, Tullow Town Park and Thomas Traynor Memorial Park.
A stormy Monday with outbreaks of heavy rain along with severe and damaging wind gusts leading to some disruption.
Rain will clear during the morning with sunny spells and blustery showers following as the very strong winds begin to ease by afternoon.
Maximum temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees with strong to gale force west or southwest winds, decreasing fresh later in the day.
