Dr Cullen Park played host to an entertaining Leinster SHC club quarter-final on Sunday, where Kilkenny champions O'Loughlin Gaels withstood a second-half comeback from Carlow's Mount Leinster Rangers to book their place in the semi-finals.
Competing on the provincial front for the first time since 2016 and helped by a superb opening half display, O'Loughlin Gaels - who defeated reigning All-Ireland champions Ballyhale Shamrocks in the Kilkenny decider two weeks ago - had too much class for Mount Leinster Rangers in the end even if the Carlow side put up a brave second half effort.

A goal in each half from Owen Wall and Luke Hogan helped O'Loughlin Gaels see off the Carlow champions. Mount Leinster Rangers were always going to make a fight of it in the second period and they got back to within four points at one stage before a red card to Diarmuid Byrne in the final ten minutes somewhat stalled their momentum.
O'Loughlin Gaels will now go on to face Offaly kingpins Killcormac-Killoughey in the Leinster semi-final in two weeks.
