Carlow's top three cost free activities this Christmas season
If you're wondering what cost free activities you can do in Carlow this festive season, we've done the hard work for you.
Read on to see what Carlow has to offer.
1. Check out Carlow's most festive houses
The Matthews and Walker families from Tinryland once again outshine most others in the county with their Christmas lights display. While it is free to check out their impressive work, if you would like to donate they are raising money for Éist Cancer Support Carlow.
2. Enjoy the view from Oisín Park
The elevated site of Oisín Park allows you to get a full view of Carlow Town. We would recommend going after dark where you will see the bright lights of the town and you may even get a glimpse of your home.
3. Take a walk along the Barrow at Milford
Take in the fresh air and gorgeous views as you take a stroll down the Barrow Track at Milford. Steeped in history, Milford is a pleasant stop on the River Barrow, which was once the centre of a thriving milling industry in the 1790s.
If you want to treat yourself while you're here, stop off for a hot chocolate or coffee at Barrow Brew. Barrow Brew is made up of a team of locals who converted a container and now sell specialty coffee, tea, baked goods and even pizza.
