Carlow pet store, Maxi Zoo Carlow, are donating Christmas gifts to Cara Rescue Dogs, to make the festive season special for the animals in its care.

This comes as part of Maxi Zoo Ireland's Shelter Wishes campaign for the month of December, which will see twenty-nine animal charities across fifteen counties benefit.

Cara Rescue Dogs is a voluntary community group which was formed in 2011 by a small group of people in Co. Laois. Cara rescues dogs and places them in a foster home until they can find them a forever home. The volunteers have re-homed over one-thousand dogs to date and has an average of sixty dogs and puppies in its care at any one time.
