Carlow Active Travel Team have announced that phase two of the Tullow Town Orbital, Walking & Cycling Scheme is now complete. This phase of the scheme links the Court View Housing Estate with Oakley Heights Housing Estate.
The Tullow Town Orbital, Walking & Cycling scheme consists of the construction of over five-hundred meters of high quality shared Active Travel facilities in Tullow Town, completed with public lighting, signage and fencing.
Phase three of the scheme has commenced and consists of the construction of two-hundred and fifty meters of a segregated two-way cycle track adjacent to the Phelimwood housing estate.
The Carlow Active Travel Team also proposes to construct a parallel zebra crossing on the N81, linking this scheme to the recently completed phase two works, via the Oakley Wood and Oakley Heights housing schemes.

This scheme is a significant investment in Tullow Town's infrastructure. The aim of the scheme is to make it easier and safer for people to walk and cycle in the town.
