Pan Celtic International Festival returns to Carlow in 2024!
Calling all singers and composers from Carlow to enter the Pan Celtic National Song Contest 2024 with the chance to win the top prize of €1,000 cash and the chance to sing for Ireland.
With just two weeks left to enter, the national contest is searching for a newly composed song to represent Ireland during the Pan Celtic Festival next April.
Songs of all styles and genres are welcome, including traditional, pop, rock, country, jazz and classical. The only requirement is that both the lyrics and the music be original and ‘as Gaeilge’. Songs may be performed by solo singers, groups or bands.
Entries may be recorded on smart phone, mp3, cd or other and must be received by the deadline of 5pm on Friday, 5th January 2024.
Entries will then be shortlisted and the chosen finalists will compete at the live gala final which will take place on Saturday, 27th January 2024 in the George Bernard Shaw Theatre.
A panel of judges will choose the winning song to represent Ireland and go head to head with the other national winners from Wales, Scotland, Brittany, Cornwall and the Isle of Man during the International Pan Celtic Festival 2024 which will be held in Carlow from 2nd to 6th April.
