Tony Gleeson, of Gleeson Sales & Service car dealership with premises on the Portlaoise Road in Carlow Town and at the Texaco Complex in Ballon, took to social media to ask for help in finding the culprits of a burglary.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning at approximately 4am.
A van entered their Gleeson Sales & Service premises at the Texaco Complex in Ballon.
The perpetrators stole two barrels of oil and a 2016 Skoda Superb from the site.
Tony appealed to his followers on social media for information on the burglary.
Later Tony followed up on Facebook with an update, 'thanks to the power of social media and some unbelievable friends the car was located in Dublin and was recovered intact.'
'To every single person that commented on, liked or shared my post I want to say a huge thank you. I can’t believe how far it travelled in such a short space of time.'
'It was all of the help and support that I received tonight that turned this in to a somewhat positive experience and I can’t thank you all enough.'
