Tullow estate targeted as string of car break-ins occur over the weekend

Gardaí reported a number of car break-ins in the Rathsillan Estate in Tullow over the weekend.

Three vehicles were broken into in Rathsillan between 9pm on Sunday night, 21st January and 6.30am on Monday morning, 22nd January.

Amongst the property stolen from the vehicles was small sums of money, a golf range finder, a Play Station console, a dashcam.

A fourth vehicle in the same estate was stolen between the above hours. It was a white coloured 231 registered Audi jeep. Following enquires, Tullow Gardai recovered this vehicle at the opposite end of the Rathsillan Estate on Tuesday afternoon, 23rd January. The registration plates had been changed and it was bearing UK plates at the time of finding.

Tullow Gardai are investigating all the above incidents and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen anything of a suspicious nature in the Rathsillan area between 9pm last Sunday night and 7am last Sunday morning to contact them on 059 9181160.

They are also anxious to hear from anybody that may have CCTV, dashcam, doorbell cam, etc.
