“This year’s programme is free, diverse, open, inclusive and celebrates some of the very best cultural offerings from across the county. Carlow will be hosting 33 events across County Carlow.

"These events are coordinated through the Carlow County Council Arts Service. Culture Night invites everyone, everywhere on one joyful night to discover and celebrate all that our culture is today.

"With a rich and diverse programme from across the county we will see communities and artists come together from history groups, musicians, storytellers, visual artists, theatre makers, performers, song writers, poets, and screenwriters.

"Many of the events are family friendly and celebrate diversity, inclusion and just about every culture expression”.

“On Culture Night we will see and hear Traditional song and dance, art collections, film premieres, Irish language, community storytelling, musician showcases, poetry slams, dance takeovers, to name just a few.

"All of this has been made possible with the support of local volunteer committees, huge commitment by local businesses and collaboration from across our cultural services that include our library services, arts, county museum, Heritage, community, and VISUAL Carlow.

"Culture Night is more than just an evening though, it is a countywide display of the importance of long-term and inclusive arts programmes and services in Carlow which Carlow County Council Arts Service proudly supports” said Áine Donohoe Assistant Arts Officer."
