A popular man from Carlow has died recently and messages have poured in from family, friends and local people who will miss him dearly

Tributes have poured following the death of a father and husband from Carlow who died in hospital recently.

Tim Kelly was from Kilbride, Ballon in Carlow and died peacefully at Saint Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny, surrounded by his loving family on September 26th, 2025.

Deeply regretted by his wife, daughter, sons, his adored grandchildren Tommy, Kate, Sean and Sadhbh, daughters-in-law Mairead and Lorraine, son-in-law Keith, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Heartfelt messages have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Tim, with one mourner writing,

"Condolences to May, Tadgh, Thomas, Jane and families on Tim’s passing. A valued friend and neighbour to all in Milltown".

Another message said, "My heartfelt condolences to May, and to Thomas, Tadhg and Jane and their families, on the sad loss of Tim. There are great memories of his laughter in our house on many occasions".

Another person said, "Sincere sympathy to May, Jane, Tadgh, Thomas and families on passing of Tim, our good friend and neighbour. Tim always enjoyed a bit of fun, no more worries. May he rest in peace".
