Carlow gardai awarded  over early-hour rescue operation on the River Barrow
Garda Colin Mallick and Sergeant Paul O'Shea, both based in Carlow Garda Station, were presented with awards for their life-saving work during an early-hours rescue operation on the River Barrow in Co. Carlow.
At the Annual Lifesaving Bravery Awards held by Water Safety Ireland, Colin and Paul were presented the awards by Master of Ceremonies Síle Seoige and TD and Minister of State at the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht Jerry Buttimer.
