Carlow man creates birthday GoFundMe to raise money for Alzheimer's Carlow
A Carlow man has created a GoFundMe to raise funds for Alzheimer’s services in Carlow for his upcoming birthday.
Paul Doogue said: "for my birthday this year, which falls on 30th November, I have decided to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's Carlow.
"Through attending fundraisers, meetings, and engaging with the community, I’ve seen first-hand how much additional support and funding are needed for in our county".
Paul said that any donations made will help supports the local Carlow group, Friends of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland, to raise awareness, run free workshops, host the Carlow Social Club, hold information events across the county, and carry out other initiatives that promote a dementia-inclusive community.
"Every gift helps people living with dementia, their families, and carers access guidance, information, and local support. Together, we can create a compassionate, caring, and inclusive Carlow for all," he said.
Paul has also asked that people show support by  attending the Carlow Social Club Christmas Party on 12th December from 11-1pm at Bethany House, Carlow!
"You can meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus, enjoy traditional carol singing, festive food, and holiday surprises for attendees," Paul said.
"I would greatly appreciate any donation big or small. The last day to donate will be the 1st of December 2025. Thank you so much for your support!".
