Businesses and property owners in Carlow are being invited to take part in a street enhancement scheme that has been set up to make the county more vibrant.
Property owners and businesses are being given the opportunity to "elevate the appearance" of premises with financial assistance from Carlow County Council.

"Participating in the Streetscape Enhancement Scheme not only boosts the visual appeal of our properties but also contributes to the overall attractiveness of County Carlow. For businesses, an enhanced storefront can attract more customers, while residential improvements can increase property value and pride of place in your community," Cllr Ken Murnane, athaoirleach of Carlow County Council, said.
The scheme offers funding for a number of enhancements including painting, repairs, decluttering, new signage, outdoor lighting, and window display design.
Adding to this Linda Culleton, Economic Development Officer at the Local Enterprise Office in Carlow County Council, stated, "A vibrant and well-maintained streetscape not only attracts visitors and customers; by enhancing the visual aesthetics of our streets, we create an inviting environment that fosters economic growth, encourages business investment, and contributes to the overall prosperity of our local economy," Linda Culleton, Economic Development Officer at the Local Enterprise Office in Carlow County Council, said.
