Special classes confirmed for Carlow school will help children 'reach full potential'
A school in Carlow is one of five across Carlow and Kilkenny that will soon benefit from new special classes.
Each school will receieve one additional special class, which is said will "further strengthen" local educational supports.
Tyndall College Carlow is the only school in the county that will benefit from another special class.
The news was announced earlier this week by Minister Jennifer Murnane O'Connor, who has welcomed these allocations.
"These additional classes will help ensure more students can access the supports they need locally, while also easing pressure on schools as demand continues to grow," she said.

"It is vital that our education system continues to adapt so that all children are supported to reach their full potential, and strengthening provision within communities is central to that effort," Minister Murnane O'Connor added.
The announcement forms part of the fifth phase of approvals for special classes nationwide for the 2026 to 2027 school year.
An additional 36 classes have been sanctioned this week, bringing the total approved so far this year to 387.
Decisions on more special classes are expected in the coming weeks.
