Over €18m was won in the National Lottery after a winning ticket was sold on the Staplestown Road in Carlow back in 2008.

Borris had a big win in 2011 when a jackpot of €4.4m was won after a ticket was sold in the town while almost €1m was won in Bagenalstown in 1991.

National Lottery HQ was asked for all Lotto wins in the county over €20,000 and the figures provided revealed that there have been 59 wins thus far.
