Revealed: Over €2.5m collected in commercial vehicle Motor Tax in Carlow last year

However, the figure is down on previous years

Just over €8.2m has been collected in Carlow between 2015 and 2017 in commercial vehicle Motor Tax revenues, it has been revealed. 

Fianna Fáil TD Niamh Smyth asked the Minister for Transport for the amount of commercial vehicle motor tax collected in each of the years 2015 to 2017; the amount paid online; the amount paid in a local authority office, by county.

Minister Shane Ross provided the figures which revealed that in 2015, €3,208,464 was collected in commercial vehicle Motor Tax in Carlow, in 2016 this figure had fallen to €2,498,845 while last year it was €2,504,788.
