Gardaí investigate burglary in Carlow where man woke up to find intruder in his bedroom

Burglar left the house after jumping out the upstairs bedroom window

Gardaí in Carlow are investigating a burglary in the Willow Park area on the Tullow Road in the early hours of Tuesday, August 21. 

The incident occurred a half hour after midnight when the occupant of the house woke to find a man standing in his bedroom. 

A struggle ensued between the two and the intruder left the house by jumping out the upstairs bedroom window. Nothing was stolen.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses or for anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident. 

The suspect was wearing a dark hoody, white runners and his face was covered.
