Gum littering carries a fine of €150

Carlow County Council has issued a warning to people to bin their gum. 

If you throw gum on the street, it's considered littering – and it carries a fine of €150.

In a post on social media, the Council said: "It's not nice when this happens so make sure to bin the gum and keep Carlow clean!"
