Hairology, Carlow has been crowned Hair Salon of the Year at the national Irish Hair and Beauty Awards 2018. 

The black tie ceremony took place on September 9, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dublin where the Carlow salon also won the title of Hair Salon of the Year in the South East.

The salon's owner, Linda Kelly-Fennell, said: "It’s absolutely phenomenal for our little salon on Dublin Street, such a proud achievement in under two years of opening; none of which would have been possible without our amazing clients who supported us from day one and the incredible team who deserve this amazing achievement for their hard work and dedication and pure passion and love for hair.

"We are totally in shock it’s just incredible so proud and shocked."

The Hairology team comprises of an all senior styling team of Linda Kelly-Fennell, Bríd Dempsey-Whyte, Amy Walsh (Amy Walsh Hair) and their "wonderful apprentice" Kate McDonald.

Linda added: "We have an accumulated background of 51 years between us all and numerous master colour degrees, award winning 1st place for Great Lengths Extensions in Ireland along with countless ongoing education courses, hair competitions and a genuine love for our craft.

"We are an Alfaparf Elite Salon and offer many revolutionary treatments to our clients including being the 1st certified salon in Carlow Town to offer the Brazilian 12 Week Blowdry, we offer Olaplex treatments and every hair style imaginable from cutting, colouring, upstyling, downstyling, blowdrying and everything in between, we pride ourselves on always ensuring cutting edge techniques, healthy hair, always listening to our clients and always looking after them from start to finish! We cannot wait for the final on Sunday and to celebrate this achievement!"
