Mundy was due to perform there this Saturday

T Street Live has been closed and no longer has use of the venue or bar and cannot hold gigs there this week which means Mundy's show on Saturday has been postponed.

Ticket holders for the Mundy gig at the Tullow Street venue will be notified by Tickstop.ie on Tuesday morning and will be fully reimbursed.

In a statement on Facebook in the last few hours, T Street Live said: "I’ve just received news regarding T Street Live venue this morning. The premises we have been working from is officially closed as of this morning.

"I do not have the use of the venue or bar and cannot hold gigs there this week. Mundy’s gig for Saturday is postponed. Tickets holders for Mundy gig will be notified by Tickstop.ie this morning and will be fully reimbursed.

"I am truly sorry for the late notice, but it was out of my hands. I hope you all understand this situation.

"New ownership is almost in place and I will be in touch with more information when I receive confirmation.

"T STREET LIVE WILL CONTINUE!

"Stay tuned for more updates."

In a statement to Carlow Live, T Street Live said: "The only reason is, we worked hand in hand with the leaseholders who had a restaurant downstairs and ran the bar in T Street Live venue also.

"They closed their business just after the weekend, so we can't run our gigs not having a lease or bar. We booked the bands and ran T Street Live as place for good live music for Carlow.

"The closure is only temporary, as new plans are already in the pipeline, so T Street Live should be running again very soon.

"I just wanted people to know that T Street Live has not closed down, the gigs have been great and the response to the venue and the bands has been amazing. All positive!"
