Gardaí in Carlow are investigating an alleged assault incident on Burrin Road, Carlow on September 15.
It’s understood that shortly after midnight a woman in her 30s was approached while walking along Burrin Road.
A man jumped from the back of a dark saloon car and assaulted the woman before returning to the vehicle and making a getaway.
The woman raised the alarm and reported the matter to Gardaí.
She did not require medical treatment.
The motive for the attack is unclear at this time and enquires are ongoing, Gardai told Carlow Live.
