Bridge joint construction works were completed on Wednesday night at Duggan Bridge

An update has been provided on local authority works across the Carlow Municipal District and they are outlined below:

Tullow Street:

Pavement reconstructed from Dublin St to ‘The Foundry’ are macadamed. The Council expect to complete this operation on Thursday night.

The Council also hope to have the third contractor on site on Thursday night beginning the process of finishing the surface of the road with the imprinted asphalt…these works will continue for approximately a week but we are nicely ahead of schedule at this stage.

Bridge Joint Duggan Bridge:

Bridge joint construction works were completed on Wednesday night, a rubber spacing unit is all that remains to be fitted at this stage and hopefully that will be done on Thursday or Friday.

Ralumac complete, the Council we will leave it a week and then power brush. The appearance changes over the coarse of this first week to the final homogenous finish.

Fr. Byrne Park

Preparatory works were carried out on Thursday morning but works are now suspended until Friday It is expected all works will be completed by Friday afternoon.

Brownshill Dolmen

Trees are removed and stumps were ground out on Wednesday night, just a little tidy up left to be done.
