Excitement is soaring all over the country as tonight’s EuroMillions jackpot heads for a bank-busting €150 million.
A National Lottery spokesperson said today the sky would be the limit for a Carlow player if their numbers come up in the rolling EuroMillions draw.
“This is an incredible amount of money. A winner could fulfil all of their wildest dreams and conquer the world if they won this life-changing sum - and have plenty left over to share with their loved ones. A EuroMillions jackpot winner in Ireland tonight will go into the history books as Ireland’s biggest ever lottery winner, surpassing Dolores McNamara’s win of €115 million in 2004.”
There have been 13 EuroMillion jackpot winners in Ireland in the history of the game. And Ireland is on a further EuroMillions roll at the moment with 22 EuroMillions Plus top prize wins of €500,000 in Ireland so far this year according to the National Lottery team.
Also this week, the National Lottery has made one final appeal to holiday makers who may have departed in Dublin Airport in July to urgently check their lottery tickets as a EuroMillions Match 5 prize worth €44,998 remains unclaimed.
Ticketholders have 90 days from the date of the draw to claim their prize. The claim deadline of close of business on Monday 1st October is just a few days away.
