Gardaí investigating two attempted burglaries in same Carlow estate over four-hour period

Carlow Gardaí are investigating two attempted burglaries in Pairc Mhuire in Tullow.

The incidents occured on September 27 between 4pm and 8.15pm during which time there was an attempted break-in at two houses with prise marks on the back door of one house and the front door of the other. 

One of the residents contacted Gardaí to say he left his house for a ten minute spell at around 8pm and when he returned to found distinctive prise marks on his front door. 

The door was not breached but there had been an attempt to break into the house.

No entry was gained in either house. 

Carlow Gardaí are investigating the incidents and are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident or who may have noticed any suspicious activity to contact Carlow Gardaí on 059 913 6620 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
