Carlow Carlow Carlow

Restrictions in place from from October 9 from 8am to 4.30pm

There will be temporary traffic restrictions on the Ballyhacket R726 road for three weeks from October 9 and road users are being advised to allowed for extra time on their travels due to possible delays.

Carlow Municipal District has received funding from the local authority's roads programme to install road drainage works at Ballyhacket on the R726 road between Killerig/Moatabower and Rathmore/Rathvilly.

The Council have said that in order to carry out these works in a manner that is safe for both road users and Council operatives it will be necessary to place temporary traffic restrictions at the site which will consist of traffic lights reducing traffic to single lane flows.

These restrictions hall be in place for approximately three weeks from October 9 from 8am to 4.30pm.

The local authority added: "As the traffic controls span a stretch of 600m, road users should allow enough time to take consideration of the delays these restrictions will cause, particularly parents of Grange and Rathmore National Schools."
